in the 21 century, water has been playing a fundamental role in preserving lives and livestock. But however in recent times due to climate change our own home Australia has suffered a major setback in water management. We have seen the devastating impacts that theses seasons dryness and hot conditions left farms. We also need to be aware that most parts they have not been rain and due to the drying conditions farmers have been left fending on their own selves. Policies need to be created asap and support our farmers and those areas with water shortage. Our lives our future act now .

Thank you. Other Australian forums on this topic often start by quoting My Country the iconic poem written by Dorothea Mackellar. Some talk about the recently rediscovered practices of our original people. You talk about solving Australia’s existential problems by government fiat. All are part of the discussion. Can I add a new factor? Acceptance that our climate is changing. And another thing governments are slow, always catching up. In the spirit of #by22 “we the people” need to decide what should be done and importantly DO IT then. I have my suggestions about how we should position Australia over the next two years but for now I cede the floor to the others I hope will join this discussion.

What policies do you suggest? What actions can governments take, to give practical support to farmers and other people living without enough water?
